Job Title: DevOps and IT Operations Administrator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled DevOps and IT Operations Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive AWS cloud management experience, strong customer-facing abilities, and a proactive approach to IT administration. This role requires flexibility to support customers across multiple time zones (US, Europe, and occasionally Australia/New Zealand).
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities:
- Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Administer and optimize AWS environments (mandatory).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred but not essential).
- IT Vendor & License Management:
- Negotiate with IT vendors for licensing and pricing e.g. AS2 and AS4 connections.
- Network & Security Administration:
- Manage Windows networks, security protocols, and Active Directory.
- Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
- Experience in SQL Server administration.
- Application & Database Management:
- Administer and support Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with MongoDB is a plus, given the company’s move toward a serverless architecture.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Strong understanding of ISO 27000 and SOC 2 compliance (highly desirable but not mandatory).
- Implement and enforce IT security best practices.
- Technical Documentation & RFP/RFI Participation:
- Assist in preparing RFPs and RFIs for clients
Non-Technical Responsibilities:
- Customer Support & Communication:
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers across multiple time zones.
- Ensure high availability and responsiveness to IT-related inquiries.
- Collaboration & Flexibility:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their IT needs.
- Maintain flexible work hours to accommodate global customers.
- Problem-Solving & Proactiveness:
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Recommend and implement IT improvements for business continuity.
Candidate Profile
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud administration (mandatory).
- Strong experience in Windows network security, Active Directory, and multi-factor authentication.
- SQL Server expertise and knowledge of database management.
- Experience negotiating with IT vendors on licensing and pricing.
- Strong customer-facing skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Microsoft Azure experience.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and serverless architecture.
- Cybersecurity expertise, particularly in ISO 27000 and SOC 2 compliance.
- DevOps background, particularly with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Participation in RFP/RFI processes for AS2 and AS4 connections.
