Role Mission

The role exists to deliver fast, accessible and high quality front end experiences by translating design into robust code, collaborating closely with designers and backend engineers, and driving components and features that scale with the product. As a junior developer, you will grow into more senior frontend responsibilities while contributing to a collaborative, learning-focused team.

Technical Ecosystem

HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+ form the foundation of the work. The primary framework is React, with exposure to Vue.js or Angular considered acceptable. You will work with RESTful APIs and have some familiarity with GraphQL. State management may involve Redux or Context API. You will use Git for version control with feature branches, and build tools such as Webpack or Vite, along with npm or Yarn. Testing is expected with Jest and React Testing Library. Accessibility is a core concern (A11y), and you will apply responsive design principles using Flexbox and Grid. Optional but valued capabilities include CSS in JS or Sass, design handoff with Figma or Sketch, and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.

Performance Expectations

Within the first 6 months, contribute to implementing responsive UI components from design specs, translate UX designs into production-ready code, participate in code reviews, fix bugs, and improve accessibility and performance. By 9-12 months, own front-end features end-to-end, write unit tests, assist with API integration, and help maintain UI guidelines and documentation. You will also help maintain backlog visibility and collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver features.

Requirement Rationale

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, REST APIs, Git, and accessibility fundamentals are non negotiable for building reliable, scalable front-end experiences. Knowledge of a modern framework is required, with React preferred but Vue or Angular also acceptable to accommodate different teams. Additional skills such as TypeScript, testing, CI/CD concepts, and design tools are valuable but considered optional or preferred as they support higher quality and faster delivery.
